Pierre's verb of the week

holde

Verb of the week: holde

Hei alle sammen!

Another week is upon us. God mandag! This week's verb is "å holde",
"to hold, to keep". Normally it is a transitive verb, requiring a direct
object. However, it has an intransitive form "to suffice", and it is
also used with prepositions in dozens of idioms.

å holde = to hold (infinitive form)
hun holder = she holds (present tense)
hun holdt = she held (past tense)
hun har holdt = she has held (past participle)

Pronoun of the week: "hun" means "she".
