Pierre's verb of the week

sove

Verb of the week: sove

Hei klasse,

Here is our next "survival" verb: "å sove" which means "to sleep".
You can't survive long without that! It is another irregular verb,
as you will see:

å sove = to sleep (infinitive form)
dere sover = you[pl.] sleep (present tense)
dere sov = you[pl.] slept (past tense)
dere har sovet = you[pl.] have slept (past participle)

"dere" means "you" in the plural.

La oss prøve dette verbet:
Let's try out this verb:

Jeg vil sove.
I want to sleep.

Sover du?
Are you asleep?

Han sov dårlig i natt.
He slept badly last night.

Jeg har ikke sovet nok denne uken.
I have not slept enough this week.

Kan du skrive noen setninger om å sove?
Can you write some sentences about sleeping?

Ha det godt alle sammen!
hilsen Pierre
