Verb of the week: spille
Hei alle sammen,
Today's verb is "å spille", "to play". It is used when speaking of
musical instruments, games, roles in a play, etc. (However, when
children simply "play", the verb is "leke".)
å spille = to play (infinitive form)
du spiller = you play (present tense)
du spilte = you played (past tense)
du har spilt = you have played (past participle)
"du" is a pronoun meaning "you [singular]"
La oss prøve dette verbet:
Let us try out this verb:
Kan du spille piano?
Can you play [the] piano?
Det spiller ingen rolle.
That plays no part. (That doesn't matter.)
I går spilte jeg litt tennis.
Yesterday I played a bit of tennis.
Jeg har aldri spilt hovedrolle i et skuespill.
I have never played the main part in a play.
