Verb of the week: staa

Hei alle sammen,

Vi gir oss aldri! (We will never give up.) Here is the week's verb,
the first of three "positional" verbs: "å stå", to stand.

å stå = to stand (infinitive)
du står = you stand (present tense)
du stod = you stood (past tense)
du har stått = you have stood (past participle)

"du" means "you (singular)".

There are MANY idioms using this verb. Here are just a couple:

å stå opp = to stand up, to get up [from bed]
Hvordan står det til? = How is it going?
